We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of a trusted friend, who had great knowledge of music, sleek lines, and great touchpad controls.

I dropped my mp3 player on the way to work, and it died. A horrible, horrible death. I loved the stupid thing...while 5 gigs was getting cramped, it was chugging along fine with little complaint after a year and a half. Now my purple friend has met it's electronic grave!

If I save $100 from this week's paycheque and do 10 hours of overtime I can buy a new one! Except now I have to find a new one, since Creative doesn't make the Micro anymore.

Even though I can see the mist from the Falls, the Skylon Tower, and the casino from my living room window, I forget that I live in Niagara Falls. I mean, I know where I live, but since we moved here in the fall we have yet to experience Tourist Season. I feel the need for the capitals, it makes it more ominous, more like a big event. Now that summer is gearing up, I can't help but think of the millions and millions of people that will siege this city to see all of the falling water and attend our prestigous musuems.

Hold me, I'm frightened!

I ended up not buying any books at the ComiCon, and spent all of my money on toys, toys, toys! I got...

The Doctor and Rose (who was packaged with K-9):

Bastardino, an odd Japanese style toy [I could not get an in focus picture of him for some reason]:

And last but not least, Sailor Babo, the newest addition to my Ugly Doll family [big shoutouts to Target and Cinko, woop woop!]:

And finally, I have to share this photo. My friend just moved into a new building, and ALL of the railings are done with the same ironwork...

What an ugly, ugly hour. Normally I avoid getting up to go to work for 7, but me, Bellan, and two friends are headed to Toronto for a comic book convention after work. There's nobody there I want to see, but the lure of cheap graphic novels and cool toys is more than I can handle!

At least I can sleep in tomorrow, and I will with a vengance.

We just got in from Easter dinner #1 at our friend Paula's, which involved too much food, the best onion dip I've ever tasted, and a bitchin' game of Pictionary. Really, that could have been an Orthodox Jew OR a cat in heat.

Tomorrow: Easter dinner #2, at our friend Shanni's house. Shanni's in Alberta, so we didn't want to say no to her lonely parents. Or to a free meal.

Last night was TMNT, which was just okay for me. I was never a huge ninja turtles fan to begin with, but it wasn't torture. The whole thing was eclipsed with the fact that before the movie started I discovered my favourite brit pop boy band from way back, Take That, reformed. !!!!! Sans Robbie Williams, of course. I ran to Future Shop today after work and picked up the new album. I still loves me some Take That, and Gary is still the cutest one.

There's been a lack of posting lately, mostly due to not actually doing anything. Work, sleep, tv, KISS-opoly, work, Paper Mario. Rinse, lather, repeat!

We saw Reign Over Me last night, which was excellent. Normally Adam Sandler makes my teeth shiver, but not only was he bearable he actually did a more than decent job. The saddest part of the movie was when my unopened nibs slipped off my lap, and Bellan and I had to grope around the movie theatre floor to no avail. We had an idea of where they were, but I didn't want to wind up groping the woman beside me.

After the movie we went to McShit's, and got McFlurry's. Cadbury creme egg McFlurry? Yes please!

Tomorrow night: TMNT.

The government deposited my tax refund yesterday, so today I went clothes shopping, yesss. I ended up spending $140 guilt free on a skirt, 4 tops, and two necklaces. Yesterday I stopped into Future Shop after work and picked up the Dixie Chicks documentary, Shut Up & Sing, as well as the third season of Facts of Life. Thanks for giving me my money back, Revenue Canada!
